If you’ve upgraded to OS X El Capitan 10.11 and you’re a user of any Adobe CS6 applications (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, etc), you’ll probably run into some issues. Most notably, users have reported problems with Adobe Illustrator not opening at all, and text from text boxes in Adobe InDesign disappearing. I am using this workaround on photoshop CS6, (thanks!) windows 8.1, laptop screen resolution 2560 x 1440. One issue I am having is that the images you are working with will have a “pixellated” look (much like the menus text does, which is now readable but not full-res looking) regardless of whether you are working with a large (i.e. Big pixel dimensions) image or not, and regardless of how. Apr 24, 2020 How to fix MacOS Catalina performance issues Dan Baker/Digital Trends After you recently upgrade to a new operating system, it’s natural for the OS to run and feel a little sluggish. Sometimes I can edit for a half hour before the problem occurs, and other times for only a few minutes. Sometimes simply deleting the audio track, and then hitting undo (which is what was suggested on a different forum) will allow it to play again - this is only a temporary fix.

Adobe CS apps & Mountain Lion: No known issues
From the CS6 FAQ:
Adobe and Apple have worked closely together to test Adobe® Creative Suite® 5, 5.5 and CS6 editions and individual products for reliability, performance and user experience when installed on Intel® based systems running Mac OS X Mountain Lion (v10.8). Earlier versions of Adobe Photoshop® (CS3 and CS4) software were also tested with Mountain Lion and there are currently no known issues.
As with any new release of an operating system, there may be unexpected issues that arise that were not discovered during testing. If you encounter any issues, please report them on our bug reporting form.
Video team member Todd Kopriva notes,
Mountain Lion (Mac OS v10.8) upgrade improves performance and stability with Premiere Pro. Be sure to check for drivers for third-party I/O hardware and such, which may not yet be available for your accessories.”

Some features in many Adobe applications require the Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE). In Mac OS 10.7, Java is no longer preinstalled but is an optional installation item.
Iomega zip drivers for mac os x. Current Adobe installers and applications were built before these changes to Mac OS and anticipate that Java is installed. Adobe and Apple worked together to ensure that you can install Java with Mac OS 10.7, or at a later time before you install Adobe applications. (When you start an Adobe application, you are prompted to install Java if it isn't already installed.) In a corporate IT environment, be sure to preinstall Java, or make sure that it can be installed through firewalls or other security software.
If the Java Runtime isn't installed, the following issues can occur in Adobe applications:
Features are missing or behave improperly
The software doesn't start
Prompts to install Java Runtime occur
Applications hang or quit
For instructions to install the Java Runtime, see How to install the Java Runtime (JRE) | Mac OS 10.7 Lion.
In Illustrator CS5 and CS5.1, and in InDesign CS5.5, Crash Reporter doesn’t appear or appears after long delays (10-15 minutes).
When you scroll, the result could be the opposite of expected due to the 'Move content in direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating' feature. To alter this behavior, deselect the feature at the top of the Mouse section within the System Preferences.
CS2 and earlier versions of Adobe products require Rosetta to run on newer Intel-based Mac systems. These older versions are not supported on Mac OS 10.7 as it doesn't support Rosetta.
Mac OS 10.7 has some exciting new features such as Autosave, Restore, Versioning, Full Screen Mode, and more multi-touch gestures. For Adobe applications to fully support these features, additional product development is required. Adobe is working to address this issue. For related information, see Mac OSX 10.7 preference to 'Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps' doesn't work with Adobe applications.
Adobe Reader plug-in and Acrobat plug-in are not compatible with the Safari 5.1 browser, included with Mac OS 10.7 and for 10.6 in July 2011. Adobe Reader and Acrobat continue to work as stand-alone applications on Mac OS 10.7 and 10.6, and render PDF documents outside the browser. In addition, Safari 5.1 renders PDF documents natively. However, the Adobe Reader and Acrobat plug-ins don't function as expected in LiveCycle. And Acrobat workflows that require either plug-in to render PDF documents in Safari 5.1.
Recommendations: If you use forms, digital signatures, portfolios, guides, 3D, extended PDF documents and rights management, and require the Acrobat plug-in to render PDF documents in the Safari browser, Adobe recommends that you continue to use Safari 5.0.x and Mac OS X 10.6. Adobe will provide updates as it continues to investigate this issue. For additional information, see Apple Safari 5.1 and Adobe Reader/Acrobat Advisory.
When Adobe Drive 2 or 2.1 connects to a digital asset management (DAM) server, Photoshop, InDesign, InCopy, Illustrator, and the Mac OS X Finder can't display folders or files in second-level folders of a mounted drive. Adobe Drive 3 addresses this issue. For additional information, see Folder contents not visible in drive mounted on Mac OS 10.7 | Adobe Drive 2.x

Flash Builder 4.0.x doesn't work on Mac OS 10.7. Adobe does not intend to update this product for use on Mac OS 10.7.
Flash Builder 4.5.x is compatible with Mac OS X 10.7, although issues can affect installation and product usage:
Before installing Flash Builder 4.5.1, install Java for Mac OS X 10.7. Otherwise, Flash Builder 4.5 is installed instead of 4.5.1. For instructions to install Java, see Install the Java runtime (JRE) | Mac OS 10.7 Lion.
Flash Builder includes a version of Flash Player that is not recommended for use with Mac OS 10.7. Rather than installing the default version, download and install the latest debugger version.
Right-clicking in the package explorer can stop working after prolonged use of Flash Builder. To resolve the issue, restart Flash Builder.

However, if you are using a stand-alone configuration of Flash Builder 4.6 for PHP (Flash Builder 4.6 integrated with Zend Studio), right-clicking in the Package Explorer is sometimes unresponsive. To resolve the issue, close and reopen Package Explorer. If the issue still exists, restart Flash Builder.
